Market Manager

We’re hiring! Searching for Market Managers for a certified B-corp meal service company, to be based in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago and Houston. The Market Managers will be helping this brand build trial and engagement with these communities. Their focus is introducing their premium proteins and ingredients to busy families and foodies. You’d be responsible for day-to-day implementation of specific marketing strategies, in your local market. The market’s plan will include geographic guidelines in order to provide focus and best opportunities for Word of Mouth success.

The Market Manager may start the day at a local gym, where you’ll connect with fitness enthusiasts to tell the story of this high-quality way to fuel up for the day. That afternoon, you might visit a local athletic training facility, to talk with busy parents about a way to serve high-quality meals that are also uber convenient. Tomorrow, you may be researching upcoming events and hammering out the details of participating in a local event like Sip and Stroll or the upcoming Boat & Outdoor Expo. Every day is different, and every day is about creating opportunities for genuine conversations.

Your job as the Market Manager is to build strong relationships between our client and your community, and the communities within your community! You will be talking with the public, in face-to-face settings, as well as digital conversations. You will also work alongside a chef / caterer to prepare and serve food samples. You will report to an experienced Fizz Program Manager and head of Client Strategy to provide field support and strategic oversight; the Fizz team will help make sure local activations are aligned with client goals.

The Market Manager is someone who is:

· An extrovert, who loves talking to people, making new friends and exploring ways to connect people to each other; you’re an avid storyteller.

· Experienced handling event logistics, marketing activations or similar projects. Non-marketing work can be used to demonstrate this experience.

· Creative and Adaptable. You will be given strategic direction, but will need to use your skills to bring that strategy to life.

· Persistent. It may take time to develop the relationships we are trying to foster.

· Interested in food, healthy eating, organic lifestyles.

· Bonus – enjoy cooking, grilling and eating animal-based proteins.

· Comfortable with foodie talk; enjoy sharing techniques, recipes, and favorite ingredients.

· Open to hands-on food preparation, and to working to build up deep knowledge around our client’s product, preparation, and related recipes.

Responsibilities Include:

Sparkling Conversation – You will work to make consumer conversations the center of every activation. Engaging in authentic conversations, with people who will find the client’s story relevant and interesting, is your number one priority.

Logistics – You will manage the details involved in our activations and events. You will build and maintain a robust calendar of planned activities. You will also need to provide detailed expense reports.

Communication – You will need to keep your support team updated on a weekly basis, recording successes with photos and recaps, and being responsive to calls / texts.

Hands-on writing and reporting – You will need to write accounts of your activities using our online tracking system on a weekly basis; timely reporting is a key responsibility.

Vehicle and Exhibit Operation – You may be responsible for safely operating a branded vehicle, and for set up and display of client products and branded elements. Examples include moving cocktail-size tables, ensuring food items are handled safely, setting up signage, fresh and frozen ingredient preparation and transport.

This is a full time, salaried position, with PTO and health benefits. Travel within the designated metro market required. Branded vehicle will be provided for work-related activities.
